Tigerstar waited until Darkstripe arrived through the blackness. They sat, leaving flashkit to be lost in the dark forest while they spoke. they would come for him in a moment...
"This kit has potential." Darkstripe commented.
"Yes, I know. He will be the best. Better than you, Darkstripe. Better than Thistleclaw even. But not better than me. NEVER better than me. We will never show him my secrets." Tigerstar growled.
Darkstripe looked forward with a blank face, with somewhat of a paled look in his eyes. " Here he comes."
They both rose to their paws. "This is the River." Tigerstar rumbled.

He turned around and faded into the shadows without another word. Darkstripe turned around so his back faced Flashkit. He looked behind him and nodded for Flashkit to come.
